Drakat
Drakat
When you cross
the entrance arch
to the temple of dreams,
there,
right there,
is the sea.

dimensions and materials
PIeces in Vicenza refractory clay, glazed with crystalline, lustres and polychrome enamels, or simply single-fired. Height varies between 60 and 150 cm.
Within the project "THE LIGHTNESS OF UNSUSTAINABLE BEING" through which I carried out my research on the figure of the cat, Drakat is the most intimate piece.
The cat is a mysterious figure, with multiple symbolic readings. Dracat is a rather large piece, which rises from the ground with sinuosity. It is a symbolic cat, half dragon, which represents mysterious forces and powerful symbols.
My need to integrate suffering (represented by the wounded eye of rationality) with the charm of the mystery of Life emerges. From the bottom of the belly opens, a little disturbing, the eye that sees the Truth, in the mystery, in the dark in the unknown that generates Life, uncomfortable, difficult to understand. The dragon cat becomes a little monstrous, always with seven scales on its back

I accept commissioned work aimed at creating unique, custom-made works, both for larger and smaller works.
The pieces can originate both on the basis of projects already in progress and on customized themes, based on the interaction with the client and his needs.
I love working with children and schools sharing projects according to the specific teaching needs agreed with the teachers.
