Emotions shaped with clay
I am an architect, I am passionate about the relationship with the space that surrounds me, about design, about beauty.
I have always copied reality since I was little, faces, hands, landscapes, flowers, everything that could attract my need to recognize myself in beauty, with any tool that could leave a mark on paper or on any medium I found at hand.
Over time I began to shape the earth, encountering the structural capacity of the roughest mixtures which allowed me great expressive freedom.
I developed my technique in a completely intuitive way, in my solitude.
My life was marked by a spinal surgery when I was 14. The limitation and difficulty that followed affected everything.
In my work the theme of the female line, of the wound and of the awakening to a higher truth recurs. I am inspired by children and relationships, faces and hands.
I was influenced by the gestures in Caravaggio's paintings, the integrity of Van Gogh, and Michelangelo's Rondanini Pietà.
I work in my laboratory in Valcamonica, I have a scientific background, I have not attended any art school, I do not have a real teacher.
I began to work the land continuously with the master Adelmo Zanotti in Valcamonica, after the birth of my daughter. I believe that my true masters were my children.
So far I have won prizes in local competitions, where quite well-known figures in the area have participated, I have participated in various exhibitions, including a personal one with the patronage of the Superintendence of the Carmagnola Castle of Clusane (BS), my work has been included in the Donarte 2018 catalogue.
I have many projects, the most ambitious of which concerns my greatest companion, my back. I am developing this project which I hope to give a much broader scope than I have done so far with my more “common” work.
